Apparently actress Eva Mendes has just released the SECOND line of her home decor collection at Macy’s department stores.

How did I not know this?  This is precisely the kind of thing that you guys should have known would get me all riled up (translation: you should have called this to my attention).  The line is called Vida by Eva Mendes, and her debut effort came out in October of ’08.  I’m assuming the line is a collaboration with Macy’s themselves – ala. Target’s guest designer success.  If you’re still reading this with the intention of learning detailed information about the stylings of Vida by Eva Mendes, look elsewhere…  I’m just here to ask- what the hell is Eva Mendes doing designing crap for your home?  Did she have time to hit design school or gain some experience between her crucial roles in 2 Fast 2 Furious and Hitch?

It’s stuff like this that gives people the impression that there are absolutely no qualifications to design.  I think I’m going to design a line of prescription drugs and/or medical equipment. I have some creative ideas.
